Plagiarism Policy

The Journal is dedicated to upholding scholarly publishing integrity through the promotion of originality and the prevention of plagiarism. To achieve this goal, the Journal has instituted the following plagiarism policy:

Definition of plagiarism: Plagiarism is the act of utilizing someone else's words, ideas, or work without proper acknowledgment or authorization. It encompasses the use of text, images, tables, figures, and other materials without appropriate citation.

Prohibition of plagiarism: The Journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism. Authors are obligated to ensure the originality of their work and to cite all sources used properly. Plagiarism will not be tolerated and may lead to manuscript rejection or retraction of published articles.

Detection of plagiarism: The Journal employs plagiarism detection software to screen all submissions for potential plagiarism. If plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected or the published article will be retracted.

Consequences of plagiarism: Plagiarism is a grave offense and will result in the following consequences:

Immediate rejection of the manuscript if plagiarism is identified during the review process.

Retraction of the published article if plagiarism is discovered post-publication.

Notification of the author's institution, funding agency, and other relevant entities.

Prohibition of future submissions from the author.

Responsibility of authors: Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and properly citing all sources used. They should also ensure that their work does not contain fabricated data, falsified information, or misleading claims.

Responsibility of editors and reviewers: Editors and reviewers are responsible for detecting potential plagiarism and informing the Journal's editor-in-chief. They should also ensure that the manuscript adheres to the Journal's ethical standards.

Education and awareness: The Journal will offer educational programs to authors, editors, and reviewers to promote ethical publishing practices and prevent plagiarism.

 

By submitting a manuscript to the Meratus Journal of Materials and Separation, authors agree to comply with this plagiarism policy.
